PBS Committees

Phoenix Blues Society saw 25 years of existence in 2014!  It largely is through our membership that we have continued our mission and have grown in the process.  We seek individuals, who are wiling to play an active role in supporting our continued growth.

The Phoenix Blues Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. From grants to give-away raffle prizes, it takes monitary support from community businesses and foundations to fund our programs.  Our Development Committee plays an important and active role in our success in this area.

Each year our Activities Committee presents numerous events for our membership and for our Phoenix community at large.  We use member and non-member volunteers to develop, promote and produce these events.  The Activities Committee organizes our volunteers and actively works our events.

From press releases to presentations, this committee's role is to build community awareness about Phoenix Blues Society and its mission.  Through continuous and various communication channels, and other media, the Outreach Committee will keep our organization in the pubic eyes and ears.

Keeping Blues alive for generation next is an important part of the Phoenix Blues Society mission.  Each year, we develop and support programs to bring Blues to the youth of our community.  Volunteer musicians, teachers, school administrators, and others share their time to support these outreach programs.  One has been our "Master Class" workshops, at our annual Blues Blast Blues Festival.
